Happy Labor Day!

Not too much happening yet here. But, tonight, my brother, his wife, my grandfather and hopefully my sister and her husband will be coming overe here for grilled hamburgers, potatoe salad, baked beans, & dessert. I've been busy cleaning and cooking today...and the Mann finally got the yard mowed. Looks so much better - this grass grows SO fast down here, it's ridiculous.

I took some self portraits on Saturday - I was inspired by this post by the lovely Rachel Denbow [http://racheldenbow.blogspot.com/2009/09/long-weekend-to-do-list.html ]. I really wanted to try to get some pictures of the Mann and I as we rarely get a picture taken together. But, it just never quite worked out with his work schedule. So, I pulled out my tripod and timer and clicked away. I was quite happy with some of them! The above photo is one of those obviously not taken with the tripod..lol.

I posted a tutorial today of the featured product of the week. The product is the wonderful Ranger Glossy Accents. I LOVE that stuff! I use it all the time: for adhering paper to paper, for clear accents, and most recently for my own handmade chipboard embellishments. You should check it out at http://www.letscaptureourmemories.com.

I finally finished my Summer Mini today! I am so happy with the results of this little {well, it's not really so little anymore} book! By the time I got to the month of August and was trying to put all of my pictures, receipts, coasters, etc., I had to switch out the book rings for 3" book rings! It is QUITE full! I bought this little mini from Elise Blaha's etsy shop found here: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5124444 .

And a couple more of my self portraits from Saturday. I love this golden vintage action from Coffee Shop Actions - the link to these free actions is over off to the right hand side of my blog!

Well, I'm off to finish up some stuff around the house and maybe sneak in a little NCIS. There is a marathon of NCIS today :-)
