That magical time of the year is starting! The time of year where the leaves start changing, the mornings are a little bit cooler, and you can feel the holiday excitement starting!
We don't necessarily have a very noticeable season change in the fall here in Florida, but it does start getting cooler out for which I am very thankful! We'll finally start dropping down into the 70's & 60's in the mornings and it's not quite as hot & humid during the day time!
I was excited to get our theme project this month – Heidi asked us to make two tags. One was a fall theme and the other a Halloween theme. Both of these tags were made with chipboard tags from the Chip Art Set. Both of them were “stamped” with the Chip Art Tool. On the fall themed tag, I used various circle & square motifs all over the tag. I smeared a copper colored paint over the top and then distressed the edges with some Ranger Distress Inks. I then layered on several different elements: paper, acrylic, feather, flower, & paperclip. For the Halloween themed tag, I first painted it all orange. Then I “stamped” the word “BOO” all over the tag using the Chip Art lowercase alphabet stamps. I painted the words with some black ink and let it dry. I also distressed the edges of this tag with ink and then I took a crackle medium and painted it all over the top. I sprinkled some gold & black glitter in the paint and let it all dry. I created the green embellishment by taking two strips of 6” paper and folding them in an accordion style. I stamped the pumpkin face on white cardstock and placed on top of the folded paper embellishment and hung a small tag on it. Finally, I took green Stickles and swiped it all over the tag and painted the pumpkins face with it.
