Lawn Fawn Mini Book

Hello again, everyone! Back with another project that I made using the fabulous new Lawn Fawn paper products! This mini book and other cute things were featured on the blog today and I wanted to pop in on my blog and give you some specifics of my mini book.

For the cover, I traced out the heart shape onto the gray chevron striped paper and cut it out. I stitched it to the front of the chipboard cover and then traced a slightly smaller heart and stitched it down. I traced one more smaller heart and yes, I stitched that one down. And I'm here to tell you that my sewing machine is a trooper! It handled the chipboard and three sheets of paper with NO problem :-) After adhering that down, I cut out journaling spot and matted it with some green pattern paper from the Bright Side collection and then placed my title on that . I punched out a couple of hearts, added some bling...and called it a done deal for the cover! For the inside pages, I figured out what I wanted to do as far as placement of photos and paper and then simply used that same idea for each spread. Sometimes, I struggle with what to do with each page, and this technique makes it very easy to completely finish the book! I used different pattern papers and stickers with each spread to change it up a little bit. On the left hand side, I traced out the heart and then another smaller heart and stitched them together. I then stamped out the postcard image on kraft card stock and typed my journaling. I then matted that with another piece of pattern paper, adhered another couple of punched hearts and stamped the image in the upper right hand corner. For the right side, I traced out half of the heart onto my photo and cut it out and did the same for the left hand side only using paper. These were both stitched down. On top of the pattern paper, I put a layer of alphabet stickers in random places, and added a few pieces of bling on the side where the photo was.

You can view pictures of all the pages in my mini book on the Lawn Fawn blog!

Thanks for taking a peek!
